Merrick Gallagher

Born and raised in Washington State, Merrick Gallagher came up through the Pacific Northwest’s cycling scene. He started track racing at twelve with the Jerry Baker Junior cycling team under program director Amara Edwards, and advanced through the juniors program to earn USA Cycling Category 1 by age 16.

By 18, Merrick had earned 13 national championship titles and two U19 American records, one in the team pursuit and one in the individual pursuit. He has represented the United States internationally at the UCI World Championships in Luoyang, China (August 2024), the Next Gen competition in Apeldoorn, Netherlands (January 2025), and again at the UCI World Championships in Apeldoorn (August 2025).

Merrick currently trains under US coaches Anders Johnson and Jono Hailstone as he continues to refine his abilities and fuel his competitive spirit.

For the 2026 season, Merrick will ridewith WLR, marking an exciting new chapter in his cycling career.
